British Museum |
British Museum has an impressive Egyptian collection. There are sculptures and busts of famous pharaohs. It has a lot of Greek statues as well. There were different reliefs and one particular piece that really stuck with me were three statues of Greek goddesses standing on what reminds me of the Parthenon. It also has the examples of Doric, Ionic, and Corinthian columns.
It has unique architecture of the building and bright natural light coming from the skylight in the main building. The main building is circular with a wide stairway that leads up to the second story.

Modern Tate |
The Modern Tate is one of the most intriguing and interesting museums in the world. It is a must see, both for its setting and its installations and stationary art collections. It is free of charge and has marvelous museum stores to shop in. Some highlights have included a giant tuba suspended from the ceiling, basking in the hazy glow of the "sun" in an incredible weather installation, and a most bizarre collection of diatribes blasted through speakers located throughout the entry hall. Art clearly takes on many forms at the Modern Tate.
